title>TARDIS
author> Deirdre M. Donoghue
If the existing modes of mobility do not offer me actual freedom, then
perhaps my choices on how I exercise my mobility would. It is here that
I chose to focus on the body and especially my own embodiment as a capsular
unit and it’s mobility.
I wanted to see whether there is more freedom of mobility in ones life
through exercising personal choice on how one chose to narrate one’s life
as well as to examine how much personal freedom one actually does have
in relation to exercising their mobility on this level.
I soon realized how much of my own mobility is dictated and narrated by
all the various socio-cultural roles that I embody as a white youngish
European woman, mother, wife, daughter, professional, student, artist
etc.
