PROJECT / RESEARCH INTRO

The project FWC Mobile Capsule consisted of input from the general framework of the First World Camp platform and from specific micro workshops and lectures related to the question of mobility and capsularity. Marten Spangberg (http://international-festival.org/) talked about mobility, Lieven de Cauter (http://www.brusselstribunal.org/) had a workshop debate on capsularity, Blaz Kriznik (http://www2.arnes.si/~uljfarh5/) lectured on the ideological premises of the German Autobahn project in the 1930's and Martin Struijs (http://195.171.22.30/uhtbin/cgisirsi.exe/H6MzpJv7rh/222350015/5) talked about Detroit and the metro connection project between Rotterdam and The Hague.
Participants did a research for their own projects which is here presented in graphic and textual form.

Students developed projects raising questions of identity (Stand-In), distance (Tardis), relation between body, products and space (Appendix, Traffic Island), mobilization of language (Concrete) and capsularity of waiting spaces (Waiting, Interference). In the works presented mobility is reflected as both restricting and potential concept.
