ECONOMICAL ASPECTS - how to create an independent economical structure

- how to create an independent economical structure
One of the biggest problem for refugees is their total dependence on outside help. In order to reduce dependence on humanitarian help and the feeling of boredom and uselessness it is necessary to establish a specific economy for the refugee camps. We are aware that in every refugee camp there are parallel, black economies based on smuggling, prostitution and other illegal activities. We shall elaborate an economy which will keep the camp isolated from the local environment to a degree necessary to reduce possible tensions. This economy will be a network structure and mainly based on new information and communication technologies.
1. first hand economy
- surveillance of cameras that normally stay unmonitored
- monitoring of satellite images
2. future economy
- once refugees left, the property where the camp is situated gains higher value. Existing infrastructure can be used for local use or left to self degradation.
3. local economy
- investment options for the local economy (different scenarios)
4. global economy - long distance economy
- phone operators - AOL, shopping, sex phones
