CULTURAL ASPECTS - gradual integration into the local environment

Although the main objective of every refugee crisis is to enable the refugees to return to their homes as soon as possible, many of them stay for longer in the camps; and some of them never return to their homes. A longer stay in a foreign environment immediatelly reinforces questions about the relationship between refugees and the local population. Therefore, it is important to develop strategies of cultural interaction. We shall establish several strategies which would support a future integration of refugees into the local environment. These strategies will be focusing on the acquistion of language skills, cultural habits, history, popular culture etc.
